Prof. Paolo Riva, University of Bergamo will speak at our conference on May,17.
Paolo Riva graduated in 1984 in Civil Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. His main research fields concern: 1. Seismic behaviour of r.c. structures, with particular emphasis on the behaviour of structural walls and of precast concrete elements; 2. seismic retrofitting of historical buildings; 3. non-linear analysis of r.c. structures; 4. behaviour of r.c. structures under fire conditions. Prof. Riva has been responsible for several research contracts between the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Brescia and the Department of Design and Technologies of the University of Bergamo and prominent Italian prefabrication and construction industries.
