You need to carry out laser scanning regularly but your volume is low to buy a standard laser scanner? At the same time, using an external supplier is too expensive?
Then FARO Photon 120 SELECT Project Laser Scanner is your solution! It includes FARO Laser Scanner Photon, 500 scans, 2 days of training, FARO Cloud for AutoCad Pro and FARO Scene software as well as other accessories.
Our jury will award the best cubes which will be displayed on our website in September.
Coventry, 13th July 2010 – FARO Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: FARO), the world’s leading provider of portable 3D measurement and imaging solutions, announced today the release of the world’s most accurate break resistant spherically mounted retroreflector (SMR) as a part of their newly expanded line of laser tracker targets.
FARO’s new break resistant SMRs offer the accuracy, durability, and affordability needed in today’s demanding measurement environments. In the past, users were faced with choosing between a high performance, lower cost glass panel SMR or a durable, higher cost, less accurate break resistant model. With FARO’s new break resistant SMRs, however, this dilemma no longer exists. Their accuracy is equal to or better than a traditional glass panel SMR, while having the added advantage of being break resistant. They also come at a lower cost than before – some are even less than a traditional glass panel SMR. This will allow users to quickly recognise a true return on the investment.
Coventry, 7th July 2010 – Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK), a world leader in 2D and 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, and FARO (NASDAQ: FARO), the world’s leading provider of portable measurement and imaging solutions, announced their collaboration to add direct integration of point cloud data to AutoCAD 2011 software. FARO and Autodesk have also entered into an agreement for FARO to promote AutoCAD Plant 3D software as its preferred 3D modelling application for the process plant industry.
In addition, Autodesk announced the FARO Laser Scanner Photon as its preferred hardware for point cloud data capture of process plant facilities using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
Companies receive the precise results required while gaining flexibility to use the device whereever and whenever it’s needed. Scrap can be reduced and measurement times can be shortened – both leading to improved product quality.
Wind energy is an important beacon of hope for everyone interested in a cleaner and more sustainable energy supply. Today’s wind turbines have capacities of up to 5 MW thanks to rotor blades that can be over 50 metres long and weigh up to 18 tonnes. In this fast-changing environment where design refinements are introduced almost daily, only one rule is infallible: greater accuracy means greater efficiency.
Skykon is a recognised player in the rapidly growing global wind energy sector for the production of plugs and moulds for wind turbine rotors. Today every second CNC-milled master plug being made for the wind industry is a Skykon product. Behind this remarkable success story was Skykon’s pioneering involvement in large-scale CNC-milling. Having worked closely with the manufacturer on the development of the world’s largest and most precise 5-axis CNC-milling machine, Skykon gained a head start and overtook many companies that have been building blades for much longer.
“Skykon was founded because we saw the future of the industry and set out to meet the anticipated need” says Sales Director Michael Andersen. “As pioneers we are always trying to keep one step ahead and that is why we chose the Faro Laser Tracker Xi for our quality control and alignment processes.”
Visit us at our Roadshow „Laserscanning in architecture and industrial plant construction” in Ulm, Frankfurt, Erlangen and Munich (Germany) from 5th – 8th July. We present the interaction between as built documentation with the FARO Laser Scanner Photon, the point cloud analysis software PointCloud from kubit and the brand new Point Cloud Platform of the AutoCAD 2011 solutions for architecture and industrial plant design and construction.
Hygie-tech SA offers true real time fluid dynamics simulations to solve problems in the field of clean room management and contamination control across a wide range of heavily regulated and quality- focussed industries. The pharma, bio/medtech, electronics and food industries all need to create and maintain sterile or hygienic conditions. The tiniest particles of dust can ruin an electronics production batch while infectious airborne germs pose serious health risks in hospitals and the food industry.
Thanks to Hygie-tech SA’s innovative software and an efficient FARO-based workflow, clients across a wide range of industries can now optimise their HVAC and other parameters to control contamination cost-effectively.
FARO and Aberlink are organizing an Open House in Eastcombe on 8th July. Visitors will be able to see demonstrations of FARO’s portable CMM and CAM2 Q measurement software as well as Aberlink’s software.
