As the European partner of InnovMetric Inc., Duwe-3d is pleased to introduce to you the functionalities of PolyWorks, the universal 3D-metrology platform on April 7th. Offering Plug-Ins for the FARO Laser ScanArm as well as for FARO Laser Trackers and TrackArm combinations, PolyWorks equips you with all the capabilities you need to master today’s metrology tasks. You will have the chance to get a quick overview of the versatile analysis options in PolyWorks using probing and scanning data.
The aim of the webinar will be to make you familiar with the basic functionalities such as feature inspection from probing sessions and scanned point clouds. Furthermore you will be shown the easy and convenient workflow for the change of device positions – also auxiliary for the use of several devices during one session.
The Cosquer Cave is located at Cape Morgiou, in the Calanques, near Marseille. It can be accessed through a tunnel 175 metres in length, which is 37 metres under the sea level. The unique feature of this cave is that it contains several dozen works painted and engraved between 27,000 and 19,000 years ago. The sea level is rising due to the climate change and will make this treasure fade away by the end of the century. To keep this unique site alive, the French Ministry of Culture decided to capture in 3D the entire cave by scanning it. But gathering information in such an underwater place is quite a challenge. Nothing impossible for the FARO Laser Scanner! Just have a look at this very impressive video. It was broadcast on the French “Thalassa” TV programme France on 25th February 2011 and watched by more than 2 million viewers. It features the Laser Scanner on 9’52, 13’05, 15′ , 15’45 and 17′.
