FARO Help Facilitate Virtual Lighthouse

FARO has recently had the opportunity to provide their FARO Freestyle and FARO Focus Laser Scanner in helping to ensure the Trinity Buoy Wharf Lighthouse in London can be cherished for more coming years.

FARO 3D X130 tripod mounted laser scanner was used by SIAD to gather data of the entire exterior and interior of the lighthouse. They then further used the FARO Freestyle to ensure they captured all sides of an object. Together the Freestyle and Focus have been able to contribute to heritage preservation.

Reduce Rework and Increase Throughput with 3D Laser Projection

Manitowoc have recently invested in the FARO TracerM as they had been experiencing increased loss of productivity. With the FARO TracerM, Manitowoc are now able to ensure that there are no mistakes when they are producing their lifting solutions and rework is also no longer an ongoing issue.

The Faro Focus enables to capture fast, straightforward and highly accurate measurements of complex objects and buildings and has helped to deliver a complete 3D “walk-through” model of a complex food manufacturing facility. The winner will be announced at the TCT Awards on 27th September 2017 at the Birmingham Town Hall, Birmingham, UK.
